Lawyers for the global cereal giant Kellogg have contacted Former Radio 1 DJ and asked him to desist from using his nickname. "We suggest you adopt the name 'The Hairy Popular Breakfast Food," says a letter sent to DLT by Kellogg attorneys in Battle Creek Michigan.
"I have no idea why they should want me to do this " said BLT at a press conference. "As far as In can see your sobriquet can be any food you choose like Meatloaf, Jelly Roll Morton or Damon Allbran. I never abused the Kellogg trade mark, in fact I probably popularised it. In about 1971, as it happens, I got a lucrative offer from Weetabix and I turned it down. And don't go reading anything into my use of the phrase "as it happens."
