The idea of an 'arguments' room is magnificent.

It must be termed 'outside', and contributors can either invite each other to take their discussion there, or admin can elect to move the discussion there.

Once the thread has moved to 'outside', all other biscuiteers should be summoned to form a virtual circle and chant 'fight,fight,fight', and if it looks like one of the protagonists is going down, launch a sly boot in from the wings.

Can we, can we, can we? PLeeeeeeeaaase!!!!

No it's not. We can argue here as much as we like. Don't need anywhere else. I don't want to be invited somewhere else. I'm not going to invite anyone else. I'm not going to be summoned. Might shout "fight" a few times, hopefully without anyone noticing who said it.
