The BBC has announced that it will conduct an urgent internal inquiry, following claims by a former production assistant that she wasn't sexually abused during her time with the corporation.
Describing the allegation as "shocking and very worrying", Head of Light Entertainment Ivor Handful has promised that no stone will remain unturned in the search to determine what went wrong.
The woman known only as 'P' has made a catalogue of claims, ranging from not being touched whilst alone with Radio 1 DJ's to being allowed to shower in peace. Her most serious allegation relates to an occasion in 1982, when despite wearing lipstick and a fine-knit sweater a well-known presenter asked after her mother, rather than bending her over and giving her the good spanking she felt was warranted.
