Fading comic, Freddie Starr, who got his last laugh about 1985, is teaming up with Pretty Woman actor, Richard Gere, to launch a rodent control business. “It’s a natural progression”, he says, “with rodent-related events having defined both our careers. Richard knows, better than most, where these rodent pests end up... and I know what to do once we’ve found them. We'll be working as a team.
“Since I’m back in the news - all publicity is good publicity, as my agent says - this seems the right time to relaunch my career in a rodent-related way. And, if the partnership doesn’t work out, there’s always Plan B: a book of hamster recipes”...
