Rock n roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis has denied standing on, kicking, and slapping multiple pianos. One piano, a baby grand, said “Lewis violently abused me, sometimes in public. He knew what he was doing. Sometimes he lifted my lid and put his hand….” The piano, which can’t be named for musical reasons, gave evidence behind a screen, and broke down during its evidence, after which the case was adjourned. Lewis is no stranger to controversy, having married a miner, Alun Jones, of Pontypridd, in 1956 on the Great Balls of Fire tour of the UK, but the marriage was annulled.
Meanwhile in a separate case, Jamie Lee Curtis denied “historic” allegations that she struck Dave Lee Travis during a radio interview in 1976.
