BBC political and election analyst Nick Robinson has today reluctantly left Downing St a whole two weeks after the election had finished.
A crestfallen Robinson was almost visibly sobbing as he left the spot he'd frequented for the past fortnight outside No.10 'this election wasn't just about who was going to run the country, it was all about how I could show off my indepth electoral knowledge and how I could tell the nation about it for five minutes every night talking to Huw Edwards right here' commented the bald headed spectacle wearing reporter. ' It's not been easy for me since the election ended and to cap it all I thought we were heading for a hung parliament and a possible re-election but not now because old Nick Clegg and Cameron cosy up for a coalition and i'm put out to pasture again for another five years'.
As Robinson dragged his reluctant heels away the last word on the subject was left to P.C Graham Nixon the permanent guard outside No.10 ' thank fuck he's finally gone. He was getting right on my tits staring mournfully at this door all the time and he was beginning to hum like a fuckin polecat'.
Nick Clegg and David Cameron were available for comment but ironically for Robinson they both came out to make it just as he walked off.
Two weeks on from the election and Nick Robinson has only just left Downing St
