In his conference speech on Tuesday afternoon, leader of the opposition Ed Milliband will propose a renaming of the main parties. ‘We’ll be the Jets,’ said Milliband, ‘and the Conservatives will be the Sharks. For the LibDems, I’m thinking either The Bloods or The Ovaltineys. It doesn't really matter. It's academic with them now.’
Wearing a Jets baseball jacket, turned-up jeans and Converse All Stars, he continued: ‘The important point here is that when one is a Jet, one is a Jet all the way, from one’s first cigarette — although I don’t smoke — to one’s last dying day.’
