In an attempt to end over 30 years of violence and war in Aghanistan, the perkily posh, quirky choir master, Malone, 37, has reportedly made initial contact with Taliban commanders in Helmand province with the view to getting fighters to lay down their weapons and seek a peaceful political solution to the country's problems through the simple healing power of group singing.
If successful, Gareth hopes to release what will hopefully become a No1 Christmas charity single, featuring a collaboration between last years 'Military Wives Choir', and the newly formed 'Taliban Tenors'.
