Jonathan Ross. No, Ricky Gervais. No, both, every week. Oh, and Gordon Brown "Iraq war was right" my arse.

How about Wee Willie Haig? He's been a twat this week. Above mentioned are twats all the time...
Posted 3 years ago # -
I think Wee Willie never recovered from his time as a hard-drinking drayman.

Kristian Digby - for not understanding the rules of safe stranglewanking
Posted 3 years ago # -
I don't think safe rules for stranglewanking have ever been discussed on NB. Perhaps you'd care to start us off with some of your favourites MrB?

How about Sean Lennon, for defending that awful advert.

Seconded on Sean Lennon.
Dad would be turning in his grave.
Mind you, I get the feeling Yoko and co would allow Arms Manufacturers to use his image if the price was right.

I think Boris was suitably buffoonish last night on Question Time. Definitely made a prat of himself. Being Mayor of London hasn't done his ego any good.

Contender for 'Twat of the Decade'

What the fuck is this Mr G?
I've heard of wearing your heart on your sleeve, but wearing your c**t on your face is taking it to a whole new level..........

It's 'Toy Art', Mr S, all explained here:
(worth watching, if you've got an hour to spare)

It really is a joint Brown / Hague / Cameron win simply for all of them being too spineless to stand up for their decisions or admit they were wrong, choosing instead to hide behind "plausible deniability" in one shape or another. Hague and Cameron seem to have chosen not to ask too many questions about Ashcroft lest they have to admit to knowing the answers. Brown seems to be claiming "The war wasn't me gov, I was too busy doing sums, it was that Blair bloke and he's done a runner".
I really don't know who's left to vote for come May 6th Now that Screaming Lord Such is dead. (I think the lib dems may still have a leader, not sure, don't hear much about him. Vince Cable still seems to be alive and quite plausible, but they sacked him)

I'd vote for Ashcroft - for twat this week.
Quite unbelievable that there were Qs being asked about his status yet Cameron - or his close team - did not demand to know the truth, given it was bound to come out at some point.
As for the war .... ugh. Remember having an argument with Mr Sauce at the time over if it was worthwhile or not - me against, him for - and he has often snarled about how the public were conned since then.
What disturbs me is WHY is there no grass roots movement to replace the LOT of them? Did Thatcher break the back of the "common populace" that sucessfully? How can we complain about spineless politicians when no one gives a damn?
We get what we deserve. At this rate it'll be Simon Cowell for PM.

What about the asteroid that killed off all the dinosaurs.

I think Carlos Enriquez-Gonzales deserves a mention for creating the Vagina Brain Monster above. It wouldn't go in our front room, I know that.

I think it may have to be our Tony. He will make a phenomenal amount of money from his book, adding to his existing fortunes. Compare this with criminals, who are not allowed to make money out of their wrongdoings by writing about them.
And he's a smarmy git.

Agree wholly, but the big problem for both main parties is that Ashcroft isn't unique- I think Lord Paul has donated more to Labour than Ashcroft. Also Ashcroft is the lone significant Tory non-dom donator, wheras Labour have at least three.
Finally, thanks to the parlous state of party funds, Labour is more reliant on people like Paul than the tories, especially since the New Labour project sought to limit the involvement of unions in their funding arrangements so they could present a less loony-leftie face to the public post '97.
A further fly in the ointment is the fact that Paul is politically a bit dodgy, what with his money coming largely from asset stripping british industries (oh, and opening up a 14m pound hole in his company pension scheme ("Robert Maxwell? Is that you?"))- which Labour is duty bound to protect. Ashcroft, on the other hand founded Crimestoppers, which most non-criminals would argue is a force for good. Oh, and Ashcroft doesn't claim expenses, unlike Paul, who has so far taken £281,263 off us (2001-2008).
So, Aschcroft is a bit of a prat, but Paul is apparently a bit more loathesome, but neither mob come out of this well. The Tories- as ever- look incompetant, Labour look morally crocked, and who cares what the Lib Dems look like, because, well- they're the Lib Dems.
I thoroughly agree with you, sauce, on the general despair concerning the populace and our innate resistance to giving two hoots about politics. If only there was a viable alternative to all of the above. And no, UKIP don' count, as they're madder than the BNP.
Maybe there's a sub in the above: Sommat like "Voters sigh deeply and wish the whole bloody thing would just go away", or "Voters unsure which bunch of crooks less morally bankrupt"
Bugger it, I'll do one.

How about "Voters don't care as long as it's not Labour, the Conservatives, Liberal Democrats, Greens,BNP, UKIP, Socialist Worker, Real Labour, or a coalition of any of these"?

New nomination: Gove, for his shadow education policies - mind-bogglingly backward. About the only sensible bit is to reduce testing and proscriptive early years curiculum.
Posted 3 years ago # -
I shall be seeking new nominations on Friday. This is all so last week.
Sauce please nominate this twat on Friday. He is beyond belief. Horrendous.
Posted 3 years ago # -
I'll nominate him every week until someone twats him from the shadow cabinet, if you like.
