In a show of support for same-sex civil partnerships, Nick Clegg and David Cameron are to marry, number 10 has announced.
The lavish ceremony will be held in Westminster Abbey, officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury and commentated on by Nicholas Witchell, who was said to be “delighted”.
“I don’t know whether to throw a stag night or a hen party!” quipped Mr Cameron, who looked radiant in a blue suit, white shirt and blue tie.
Elton John and George Michael will be performing some of their hits at the reception, whilst comedian Frankie Boyle will have everyone rolling in the aisles.
The happy couple will be honeymooning on the Greek island of Lesbos and will be adopting George Osborne upon their return.
