A while back a collegue showed me the website of a newspaper in Jamaica, called the Jamaica Star. Every so often they have some fantastic 'truebiscuit' stories. This is one I remember from last year regarding Donkey Races:

Loved the sub-headings on the donkey story, and how the patois was written out.
Kind of makes me appreciate my own local papers more.

My favourite bits were
... hundreds of spectators ... witness the ass jockeys gallop down the racecourse.
and
"Di man dem have some ting dung yah yu si, a show alone nuff people ago see dem gun deh inna..Some new ting mi a tell yu bout, di man dem naw play...Mek dem run in cause it ago wicked pon dem," the obviously excited character said while chuckling.
