David Cameron has announced that he is on the verge of making a tough decision. “The central role of government is to make the tough decisions. Then, when you get a lot of people angry and upset change your mind and pass the blame on to a junior minister.”
Making the announcement outside Downing Street, he said. “After coming to power I have been waiting for just the right moment to make one of those really tough decisions. Everybody else has had a go and told me how much fun they are to make. I think the time is now right for me to have a go and over the next few days you can expect a real humdinger of a tough decision from me.
Nick Clegg was not available for comment as there was nobody free to work him. Vince Cable shook his head and George Osborne returned to reading his copy of the bestseller - Winning Friends and Influencing People.
