I should like to voice my displeasure at these so-called "bank holidays" that the British government foist upon us from time to time.
This morning I arrived at Southend with the wife and kids hoping to spend an enjoyable family day relaxing on the beach only to find every square inch of sand occupied by bloody great branches of the Bank Of Scotland, The Nat West and Santander. I couldn't even take the kids for a paddle in the sea because it was chock-full of noisy building societies and clearing houses cavorting in Speedos.
The final straw came when I walked miles down the beach to a quieter area only to find all the sunbeds draped with large towels by branches of The Bundesbank who had all cleared off into town for a go on the fruities whilst guzzling cartons of sauerkraut and chips!
Yours etc
