Priests in 500 Roman Catholic churches throughout Scotland today read out a letter opposing any dances which are performed in a circle and include whooping.
The Bishop of Motherwell explained; "When people strut their funky stuff it's important that it happens in the context of a loving relationship between a man and woman. If the man is wearing a kilt, how are you supposed to know what's where?"
