Thanks - I was going to pad it out with stuff like "photos of him in hospital are clearly mocked up, you can see the shadows are all wrong", and "many people still doubt that we have the technology for heart surgery, we just wanted to beat the Russians, who have already managed it with a monkey" etc etc.

But in the end I didn't.

Neil Armstrong got to the moon but never made it back due to the fact that they didn't have the technology for return and re-entry. The three astronauts who emerged from the space capsule were look-alikes who on splashdown entered dressed as divers and quickly changed into space suits. They then lived the rest of their lives with the families of the astronauts abandoned on the moon. The famililies never let on.

It's all true and you know it is.
