   With the sad new of the passing of Neil Armstrong I was struck by the thought there aren't many famous Neil's.

   Would I be right in thinking Neil Morrisey is the 2nd most famous... ?

   Giving my real name and age away, it was very cool to be called Neil at school in the 70s, thanks to Mr Armstrong.

   The only other famous Neils at the time were Sedaka, Diamond and as Jeni mentioned, Young, the Man City player.

    There is a very famous Neil in religion. My Catholic priest was always talking about Neil Andsuck. I think he must have been a saint or something

    I disappear for the weekend... still a pretty poor list.
    Given that in the 1970 post Apollo baby boom there must have been a load of Neils born you'd expect more of them to have done something notable.

    FYI as a child of the 80s : Neil Young - an old geyser who can't sing.
    Neil Diamond - an old geyser who apparently can sing .. yet chooses to sing shit.
