Under documents recently made public by the new Coalition Government it has emerged that the father of BNP Chairman Nick Griffin, Edgar Griffin, an RAF hero in World War II, opposed the deployment airmen from Poland. In a letter to the War Office he wrote:
"Just because they gave in to the Nazi invasion like a wet tissue there is no need for them to come to this country to take the jobs of British nationals who are left to do rubbish stuff while bloody foreigners get to be the real heroes taking the fight to the Hun. I'm damned sure Lord Kitchener didn't waste hundreds of thousands of lives in pointless offensives for this!"
Griffin Snr served with the RAF in World War II as ground crew where he repaired radios. Nick Griffin was unavailable for comment.
