Made me proud to belong to the same country as her.

Quite some athlete; and a bit of a fox. Which is what I told mrs4fun yesterday, whilst flicking channels to watch the 800m finale to the event.

Just back from A&E where they managed to extract the anglepoise lamp. Only needs sterilising now.

I thought Jessica Ennis was wonderful and the gold fully deserved. Yes she's also beautiful and I wish I was twenty years younger to have the energy to chase her around the bedroom. I wouldn't have caught her but it would have been nice to die trying...

I was feeling very proud last night until i watched the football penaltly shoot out. The crowd booing every south korean penalty taker ensured I quickly reversed that viewpoint and made me glad that we got knocked out.

Her 800metres was mine. Leading it out, caught and overtaken on the back straight, then coming back to take the tape when all she had to do was not lose by 15seconds.

Every moment of that bend running screamed out 'fuck you, this is my moment'

Loved it.

Could have pootled around on two victory laps (waving signing autographs & blowing kisses to the throng) and still won the thing without risking a trip-up or a hamstring 'boing'. Decided to make a race of though.

Loved the athletic achievement itself but the commentators/ interviewers all seem to have gone to the same Crass Techniques training school

To excel at one event is inspiring, to excel at an event where you have to perform to world standards at seven different disciplines is truly amazing. A true olympian.
