Great link, Plucky. I love that song. The woman who isn't Mama Cass could have put more effort into it though. Mama was giving it beans.

Mama always put her all into everything. I'm of the opinion that Michelle Phillips was there to make up numbers and be pretty, blonde and slim.

There's very little that these guys did that I don't love.

Michelle Phillips was, in the social politics of the time, probably the 'beauty' to Mama Cass' 'voice'. I think Mama Cass' boots were probably a mistake, though. They were all miming too.

This song presaged my first encounter with the Black Dog, so I have mixed feelings about it.

I actually think that Cass was far more beautiful than MP, regardless of her size. She also gives the impression of being far more fun and down to earth.

MATP's songs were often double edged swords to my mind, and could have the happiest and chirpiest of tunes while telling an horrifically depressing story, so it's no surprise you have mixed feelings over this Plucky.
