Amidst reports that Team GB has failed to turn up for the games the Armed Forces have been asked to take over as competitors. A MOD spokesman said, "Following the success of the forces stepping in to cover for the missing security and then the missing spectators I have every confidence that our brave men and women will be more than up to the task of winning the games for Britain".
