Her dog Piper passed away while Jeni was on vacation. I know some of you guys are close to her. Lots of love to her and her family from me.

Best wishes Jeni
Maybe LVR and Piper will meet up in doggie heaven and chase a few 'posties' together.
That archangel Gabriel had better watch out when he's on his round.Posted 9 months ago # -
I'd love to send my best thoughts to Jeni B but not until I've finished with them.
Now where are the tissues?Posted 9 months ago # -
You are a weasel.

I'm just trying to figure why a couple of late dogs would be chasing pasties. Cars, bikes, cats, birds, etc yes, but why pasties? It must be really weird up there.
My brother's ex-dog used to like crisps. She preferred Cheese 'n' Onion. Her party trick was to open a bag single-handed. Well, single-pawed. Well, to be honest she used both paws. But it was still very impressive. I know adult humans that can't do that.

So sorry to hear your news Jeni. They leave such a big gap.
All the best.

Guys, thank you all.
And thanks for all the PMs too.Absolutely devastated, especially as the kennel owner told me today that he'd been fine, great in fact, and had been playing like a pup with the youngsters.
We don't know what happened, and won't have a PM done, he's gone and knowing the cause won't change anything, although I suspect from what I've been told that it was a stroke. It's bad enough to lose a much loved furry family member, but the fact that we were abroad when it happened has made it all the worse as we pile guilt on top of grief.
He's in the garden now, lying at the top of his favourite slope, the one he liked to slide down on his tummy.
I like to think that he and Barney are running along a beach somewhere together, and chasing squirrels with LV Rikkor.
Thank you all again, especially our Rikkor who has been enormously kind and supportive.

Sorry this is so hopelessly sentimental, but it seems apt somehow. Mrs Scroat always goes blinky when she hears this. Enjoy.
