I've just finished watch The West Wing and have to admit to shedding a tear over the death of Leo McGarry, Jed Bartlet's CoS.
It got me thinking who Biscuiteers would shed a tear over from our political system?
Tears of joy or sorrow are acceptable
By the way - Isn't TWW simply the best political drama ever broadcast?

I dunno about tears but IMHO Peter Mandelson was one of the most talented ministers of modern times and the architect of much that will be of sustained benefit from the last government. Unfortunately in these image-crazed days, he simply didn't look the part.

I shed a tear when the then Labour leader John Smith died. He would have made a fantastic PM, with a real caring nature, rather than a media friendly assumed one.
Sadly, his death brought us Mr Charisma Tony Blair.
Smith really was a man of the people, the type of which is a rarity these days in politics.
