Nice one, TLD.
Agree it could be shorter & punchier. "Hampden" is superfluous to the joke, for example.

At least the officials didn't confuse GB and France - now that would have been war.

I agree - I think at the point of writing I was covering myself incase it was just one of many Olympic flag mix-ups and I would therefore need to be specific in terms of venue. I'd prefer it to read:

Olympic official responsible for flag mix-up admits to wrong Korea choice

(I had to lose the word "to" due to lack of characters!)

Curses! Heard this on the news and was going to post this morning, but you beat me to it.

"Hampden Park scoreboard operator makes bad Korea move".

Of all the flags they could have mixed up, swapping North and South Korea is about as bad as you can get!
