An East End shopkeeper has been sentenced to five years in prison, after admitting breaching stringent trading rules around Olympic Games related intellectual property.
Sixty Eight year old Sebastion Croeney admitted to deliberately allowing his Nokia handset to play the first five bars of Spandau Ballet's 'Gold', in an attempt to boost sales of union jack ironing board covers in his pound shop.
In summing up, Lord Justice Earnest Person told Croeney that he had 'crossed the line', before he himself was led away for questioning by representatives of Coca Cola and Dow Chemicals.
