I seem incapable now of reading / watching / hearing any news without immediately trying to think if there is an angle somewhere, I'm not sure it's healthy...
Has NB affected reading / watching news for anyone else ?

I have the same problem when looking at polygons
Yes it has! Was going to post a similar question ...
And all this looking at pesky news sites has been at the expense of internet porn. What is the world cumming to?
Yes, too true. NB has also made me wonder if some of the actual news stories have been written by biscuiteers and adapted by lazy journalists. For example, the Sun had a story the other day about female beach volleyball players having to wear tracksuits because of the dreadful weather and even the style was reminiscent of NB. 'The Olympics were dealt another blow last night ...'
I only read news if I'm looking for something to write, otherwise I tend to hear about most major stories on here when a flood of subs on the same topic turn up.
Which site do you go to first in the mornings, BBC news or NB?
There is a very interesting interview with Ade Edmundson somewhere (probably one of those BBC '5 minutes with....' jobs)and why he walked away from comedy.
He said something very much along those lines.
He had tired of having to go through life trying to find a funny angle on everything he saw.
Every day he would wake up and immediately start trying to be funny on demand.
He got sick of it.
He couldn't experience a tragedy or grieve properly because his head was trying to make light of it.
Now he is a bona-fide musician and band member...genuinely admired in the trade and rather good at what he does. And enjoying it too.
Charlie is right - it can't be healthy trying to find a comedy angle out of absolutely everything.
But it is hard to switch it off..
