Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne may be prepared to admit he's 'a bounder' in his row wifh Ed Balls.
Balls has demanded an apology over Osborne's accusation that he was complicit in the Libor scandal when in government.
'Of course, George will not apologize for his remarks,' said a Treasury spokesman, 'but he may be prepared to admit he's rather a bounder.'
Some Labour MPs want Eton and Oxford educated Osborne to admit he's 'a nasty, snobbish smirking twat', but so far the Chancellor has stood his ground.
Conservative MP Andrea Leadsom, who is on the Treasury Select Committee and on Monday said that Osborne had 'made a mistake' and 'should apologize', says she wouldn't be satisfied with a 'bounder apology'.
'It's simply not enough,' she said. 'George should do the only honourable thing and apologise to Ed Balls - and admit he's been an absolutely stinking cad.'
