Tennis supremo Roger Federer was widely condemned today after his harsh defeat of Andy Murray, who was driven to tears by the humourless Swiss player.
Although Federer has already won at Wimbledon six times previously, he decided not to give the plucky scot a chance at getting his own trophy.
Tennis experts widely agree that Federer could have quite easily have missed a few shots and fired off a few weak serves without it appearing too obvious to Murray that he was helping him out, yet despite his crowded trophy cabinet, his lust for silverware overrode his common decency and gamesmanship.
Murray's British girlfriend Kim was very disappointed at the turn of events - she said that if Federer had let Andy win he would have really come out of his shell. This loss will put him back months and all the hard work in building his confidence would have to be restarted.
