   I'd recommend a frozen turkey in a rucksack. A blunt weapon, but powerful and good with potatoes.

   Mandy, when you've "slept it off" you need to at least consider coming back. Maybe no comments mean that it's good stuff you're posting - no one's picking you up on what you've done wrong, or how things could be better (or even if you would like a Louis Vuitton genuine copy). You've had tickers, nibs, even an FP, plus a mention in writer of the month, which some people (me, f'rinstance) would give their eye teeth for. Ok, it might not catch the editor's eye every time, but I'm sure you're making people chuckle.

   (BTW - I've seen better flounces at the bottom of cheap curtains. If you're going to go, at least have the style and panache of Tiffin De Vere.)

   S'not a flounce - t'is a tactical withdrawal in pursuit of better lines and better times. I'm sure 'recognises limit of competence' is a behaviour I need to demonstrate for my professional appraisal so might include this as evidence. Anyway, pointless posting anything for the next day or so as I think tennis is a sh%te game played by posers...
