Huge amounts of cash flowing in and out of seventeen different Nat West acs owned by companies associated with Carr caused the system to crash, leaving millions of customers worrying whether they had spelt their mothers' maiden names correctly. All the transactions were attributed to Carr's hasty financial reorganisation. Carr apologised immediatelyand has offered to help at his local NatWest Branch. He has also offered himself as a discount voice-over for the bank's helpful banking campaign. He said "Stephen Merchant does the voices for Barclays, doesn't he? That's what I call Merchant banking. I could have a bit of that."
A spokesman for Natwest thanked Carr for the offer. "Sadly we must on this occasion decline Mr Carr's application. I mean that house! Those tinted windows. Clearly he's a c¥nt!"
