New Democracy leader Antonias Samaras has revealed plans to invite 300 Spartans to join his coalition government. "Frankly, we are getting nowhere because of German bullying, so now it's time for the big boys to join the party," said Mr Samaras.
Spartan leader, King Leonides, said, " The enemy outnumber us a paltry three hundred billion euros to our one. Good odds for any Greek. This day we rescue a world from mysticism and tyranny and usher in a future brighter than anything we can imagine. Give thanks, men, to Leonidas and the brave 300. Children, gather round! No retreat, no surrender; that is Spartan lore. And by Spartan lore we will stand and fight... and
die. A new age has begun. An age of freedom, and all will know, that 300 Spartans gave their last breath to defend it!"
Mr Samaras confirmed he is looking forward to talks with the Troika now that the Spartans are in his new coalition. King Leonides had this message for Herman van Rompuy, President of the European Council; "You have brought the crowns and heads of conquered kings to my city steps. You insult my queen. You threaten my people with slavery and death! Oh, I've chosen my words carefully, Belgian. Perhaps you should have done the same! This is not blasphemy! This is not madness! This is Sparta!"
