The 38 Premier League matches to be shown on BT from next season are set to include a series of new features both on and off the pitch.
On the pitch innovation include team managers having to phone a call-centre to make an appointment for a substitution. After waiting 40 minutes to get through it’s likely the substitution could be made ‘some time next Tuesday, anytime between 8am and 8pm’.
Off the pitch, matches will be advertised as lasting the traditional 90 minutes although viewers in rural areas may find matches taking longer, being played slowly or just freezing totally half way through.
