Loved the headline but was sorry there wasn't a full sub to go with it. Might be worth fleshing it out if you have the time or inclination. Still, stars though.

Spanish banking system rescued by bailout from Bank of Narnia. Share prices go through the ceiling. Bond prices go through the back of the wardrobe. Or something.

And wasn't it Aslan's Diamond Jubilee recently?

Oh no, they have a curious monarchical system where random kids who fall through a wardrobe become their head of state.

The World economic crisis has reached new heights with the fictional country of Narnia requesting a loan from the ECB. The country's head of state, Aslan, explained; "The debt crept up on us - we have many expenses, all those talking animals want paying and have you tried paying pensions to immortals - believe me, it gets very expensive. Coupled with that, no-one actually makes anything." When asked if he had studied the Bank of Narnia accounts in details - particularly it's many generous loans which were guaranteed by various Nigerian princes, Aslan replied; "I'm a talking lion, what do you think?"

After watching the first 'Narnia' film it struck me that to use imaginary worlds whilst playing hide'n'seek was pretty much tantamount to cheating. And as for creating animal/human hybrids for the purposes of cinematic entertainment - well, words fail me.
Anyhow - have five imaginary stars.
