Reports coming in suggest that Prime Minister David Cameron left his social conscience in a small members club in Chelsea shortly after the General Election in 2010.
The press were alerted to the story when an employee found the item after rummaging through the lost property box and saw the nametag stitched into it.
Charles Fordham-Biggerstaff, a retired Colonel, was with Mr Cameron at the time and remembers it well. “We had just finished a rather lively snifter of Port to celebrate his new term in office then David suddenly had to dash off to a meeting. When I noticed he’d left something behind I ran after him but by the time I’d caught up he was already in the lift and the door was closing. I held out the old tattered ideals but he just laughed and said he wouldn’t need them anymore”
Since then Cameron has deflected most of the questions about the loss of his green credentials and absent big society rhetoric by patting down his pockets and saying "I'm sure i had them a minute ago"
