Wasn't that the first ever sub on this version of the site? Does that mean NewsBiscuit is collapsing back on itself in a temporal loop, leading to black holes, end of all life in the Universe and the return of Plucky Monkey?

Or are we just really short of new stuff these days? :-)

I think it's good that they recycle tickers- some of them are hilarious and it's good to see them come back, plus it avoids the stress of forcing five original ones every day when a lot of the readership won't even notice.

I agree with rick. Something not quite right about NewsBiscuit these days. It was Christmas a couple of FPs ago based on a 2/3 month old sub. I reckon the editorial staff are on holiday or away solving the Euro crisis and left a computer programme in charge.

Seldom see 5 originals per day. Usually a couple of them persist for several days. If it is not worth placing originals in the tickers because a lot of the readership won't even notice then give the current stuff a longer ride - not a lot of the readership will notice.

I think that there are a lot of ticker worthy subs that don't get on when good topical ones appear, so it's worth dipping back to reconsider some. I might bump one or two golden oldies myself and see if they fly (see what I did then?).
