French President Francois Hollande admits lowering the retirement age to 60 was a “slight error” as he is due to turn 60 on August 2014, almost 3 years before his Presidential term expires.
“Shit” said Hollande. “I hadn’t thought of that. And my Vice-President said it was such a good idea.”
Pro-austerity leaders welcomed the news, with David Cameron interrupting a game of Call of Duty 3 to say “ha ha ha ha ha … bang, bang”, and Angela Merkel asking "how do you say ‘schadenfreude’ in French.”
