Has NB ever considered producing video content? I know that it probably wouldn't be a natural fit with the sensibilities of this place but I think it would do a lot to attract more readers/contributors/traffic.
NB themselves could handle it and produce "official material" in which you either produce full-blown clips with actors OR (and I prefer this option) have a subtlely amusing voice read stories aloud over a slideshow of still images.
On the other hand you could throw it over to the public and just do what you do with the writing- a forum to submit fake news video clips and good ones get stuck on the FP and the rest just stay on the forum. This option will probably result in a lot of time wasting dreck (there's sure to be *some* diamonds in the rough though) but then how is that different from the writer's forum. (Of course, submitted videos could be re-cut/re-made with the creator's co-operation to tidy them up, much like the current re-writing of articles before they hit the FP.)
