The Sun has long been known as the newspaper for those who wish to feel like they are being shouted at by a crazy person. Now the paper is going to enhance this vibe by beginning to print all of its stories entirely in capital letters.
"IT'S A REALLY GOOD IDEA" said editor Richard Shank. "I THINK PEOPLE WILL FIND OUR RANT- I MEAN EDITORIAL VIEWS MUCH MORE PERSUASIVE WHEN THEY'RE PRESENTED IN REALLY BIG LETTERS. HUGE LETTERS. SOME OF THEM BIGGER THAN MY THUMB."
This will have the added effect of meaning less words per page, bringing stories down to a more relatable level for Sun readers.
In the future, this approach may be elevated so that there is simply a single word of the sort Sun readers enjoy seeing in print filling an entire page, such as SEX, TITS, DARKIES, etc. This is all part of a larger plan to improve the level of the magazines content.
