A Kia Rio has been removed from the back of a second-hand car showroom by the new proprietor after it failed to impress him. Roy Hodgkinson of Canning Town Motors defended his decision, saying “There were a few issues with the Rio, it had been round the block a few times and you couldn’t rely on it to get you to a drugs test appointment, for example.”
Hodgkinson added that the decision was nothing to do with a colour clash between the Rio and the Daihatsu Terios that has been alongside it in the past. “It’s true that the Terios is white and the Rio isn’t but it’s not an issue because the Terios seems happiest when immersed in muck and shit as a result of off-road shenanigans.”
Hodgkinson appeared irritated at not being asked about his entire stocklist of 23 vehicles, pointing out that some had good engines while others were built for speed or strength or style. “I’ve also got three that mix good handling with an environmentally-friendly approach which I approve of. After all, I’ve got a ruddy green heart.”
