The cut-throat nature of show business was once again shown as Britain’s Got Talent boss Simon Cowell signed Pudsey the performing dog but not Pudsey’s fellow winner 17 year old Ashleigh Butler.
The deal was sealed after a tense night of negotiations which saw the original offer of 10,000 dog biscuits and unlimited bottom sniffing sweetened to include indoor sleeping and the ability to “free-crap” on walks. In return for the sweeteners, Pudsey suggested Ashleigh be dropped.
Pudsey is said to be ecstatic about the deal, and sought to exploit his new found celebrity status by heading to Hampstead Heath for some dogging action. In contrast, Ashleigh is said to be devastated by her treatment by “that selfish animal”, and has gone and bought a cat to make herself feel better.
Mr Cowell is understood to be thinking of pairing Pudsey with other stable stars that show potential to “jump through hoops” for the good of the franchise: “That would be all of them” remarked Mr Cowell.
