Senior Police Officers have expressed dismay at the peaceful way in which protest marches were allowed to pass off in London, after it was revealed that no overtime payments were made to on-duty officers.
Police Constables would ordinarily expect a minimum of 6 hours additional pay as a result of kettling techniques and having to queue for Full-English breakfasts at understaffed canteens during refreshment breaks.
Deputy Commissioner Peter Plod summed up the mood of officers calling it symptomatic and "a government led erosion of values designed to keep officers off local golf courses until they are able to retire in their late-fifties"
