Germany and Japan were under occupation in 1948. In all the rush, we forgot to set-up a National Olympic Committee for either of them.
Result: Neither Germany nor Japan were allowed to compete in the 1948 London OlympicsFast forward to 2012:
The RAF Typhoon pilots have just got back from a stint in the Falklands.
We now have anti-aircraft missiles aligned on the Heathrow flightpath.
The Argie Olympic squad will be flying into Heathrow.
Work it out.

In the interests of fair play, level playing fields, equal opportunities shit etc. should we also target the flights of all potential medal winners ? It might even generate some impromptu new events ?
" .... and the Silver medal for Missile Evasion (Airbus class) goes - postumously - to flight KLM435 bound for Heathrow : nice try lads, but your IFF technique let you down ...."
