Today, I am all about 'Chris Rock: Never Scared' which is a real barnstomer of a stand-up performance. He takes the roof off it's fabulous and only three quid on Amazon.

Chris Rock on rap music.

Thinking about getting the first season of Fist of Fun but it's expensive and like most of the nineties might actually be crap when you look at it again. Anyone got it?

Haven't been to a gig in a while but am seeing Stewart Lee soon. If you are a Guardian-reading vegetarian who cycles everywhere then it's compulsory: leftie national service.

Only had a dvd player for a couple of months so I’ve been buying up all my old favourite’s, Steptoe and son, rising damp, the goodies, the likely lads and the IT crowd. All brilliant particularly as with some of the box sets there’s plenty of episodes I’ve never seen or forgotten.

With el-dee on 'Archer' : excellent and very, very wrong. Have also been catching up on Chris Lilleys 'Summer Heights High' and 'Angry Boys', although the latter is a bit patchy.

I like Chris Lilley. He seems to be doing stuff that no one else is at the moment and that's always interesting. His 'We Could Be Heroes' is worth a look.

There’s a recession going on - I do what I have to, to make ends meet; a bit of shelf stacking, some casual labour, the odd dragon hunt. At least there’s no “I know a Polish bloke who can do that for £50.00" when it come to dragons. And I’m not keen on water coolers - too many ice-giants hanging around, looking for trouble. As for omnivorous, I’m on a diet.

VCG - I have to admit to laughing heartily at Corrie's version of Bohemian Rhapsody during the recent sit-in protest, absolutely brilliantly done. Not that I watch it of course, wife does and brought my attention to it ...

Just been rewatching The Boosh, "Nightmare of Milky Joe" with the kids. I think the Boosh hit their stride on season 2, season 3 lost some of the whimsey and aimed a bit too 'cool teen/tweenty something', but still good. Couldn't get to grips with Noel Fielding's Luxery Comedy. It seemed to lack the grounding influence of Julian Barret, too surreal even for me.
