"Why did we not know about this splendid English car before?" questioned the perplexed BMW Head of Design. "The Mini is so lovely. But now we find out from watching made for TV dramas there were other wonderful cars made by Morris and Austin. We cannot wait to get started on the Allegro. It will be so popular around the world once we have made it a little uglier and twice the size. What is the movie that features this wundershoen car?"

learned to drive in one of those - we had it for 3 or 4 years, never had a problem, and it looked quite avant-garde at the time, despite the image now. Now the Morris Marina on the other hand really was a piece of crap...
