offlineMemberQuaz, I like that. how about expanding a bit. You could have an Al Quaeda funding crisis (perhaps they invested in Euros or Northern Rock shares). You could then have them coming up with news cheaper ways to work (as above). How about having to book easyjet flights 3 months in advance to get cheap fares but tipping off the police in the process. Think this could be a belter.
