The hologram of Biggie Smalls is said to be furious the hologram of Tupac Shakur has beaten him to appearing live. Sources close to the hologram of Smalls fear that history is about to repeat itself; Tupac was gunned down in Las Vegas and Smalls was killed soon afterwards, in what was suspected to be a revenge killing.
An unnamed source close to the hologram of Smalls fears this could lead to a holographic gun war between the East and West coast holograms as the two holograms take swipes at each other.
MC Nice Playie Play said, “no-one wants what happened in real life to these legends happen again in light rendered likenesses. It would be a tragedy for hip-hop if we were to lose them again.” Music fans, however, have been furiously downloading a track, said to be by the hologram of Smalls, which contains a lyric saying, ‘They say you been resurrected like a black Jesus Christ, yo hologram has less presence on stage than Vanilla Ice.’
A quote, attributed to Mr Shakur, has been circulating on Twitter stating that ‘This shit like hip-hop Jurassic Park: death finds a way, by the way Biggie I think you’re gay.’ The quote has been refuted by a spokesman for Shakur’s hologram who said he would never quote the film as he had thought the science behind Steven Spielberg’s dinosaur epic ‘implausible’.
The Shakur hologram was made to order to perform at the Coachella Music Festival, as requested by Dr Dre, and appeared to widespread amazement on stage with the rapper Snoop Dog. MTV presenter Jint Khalipscoke described the duet with rapper Snoop Dogg as ‘the best thing since that video where Paula Abdul danced with that cat’.’
The hologram was thought to be limited in use to the stage performance of two tracks at the recent Coachella Music Festival. However it soon became clear this might not be the case. At least nine women have claimed sexual intimacy with the light-likeness of Mr Shakur.
The hologram of Frank Sinatra issued a terse statement decrying the behaviour of the holograms of Shakur and Smalls, calling for a respect between all holograms of dead stars that he didn’t think the holograms of rappers had the capacity for.
