John Jones, 19, was left his grandfather's Labour vote in the will that was read yesterday. The executor read a short but poignant history of how his grandfather had come to get the vote. The struggle through the Depression, a year in Spain fighting Franco's fascists, the joy of the 1945 election win and the social welfare beginnings.
In an interview, John was able to recount the transcription almost word perfect and with a tear in each eye, knowing that such a rare and wonderful thing as a true Labour vote would fetch a pretty penny on eBay.
"Ive got bids in from Russia already" he beamed
