A man, who claims he has been wandering around lost in the Australian outback for 35 years with amnesia handed himself into police last Sunday. The man says his name is Archibold Murdoch. He said he remembers that at the age of ten whilst on a school camp he got lost. He claims he wandered around thirsty for several day close to death but was found and brought up by a kindly group of kangeroos. Then on Monday, whilst watching the news at the police station his memory suddenly came back. Now he remembers that his father's name was Rupert and was infact one of the two biggest media moguls in Australia. He now recalls that his father had sent him to a top private school and was grooming him to take over his fledgling media empire when he retired.
Infact when Archibold took the police back to his desert cave; where he had lived for the past year 20 years, police found many newspaper cuttings strewn amongst kangeroo bones which seemed to support his story. Said Archibold, "unfortunately, with so little to eat out in the desert I had to make do by eating members of my kangeroo family, and stealing from the natives; it's survival of the toughest out there. Through all my years of excile, and even though I suffered from amnesia, I had this fixation with collect bits of newspapers I found blowing around in the desert. Now I know why".
He went on to say, "the timing couldn't be better. My younger half brother James I hear has stepped down. I am flying to New York tonight for a reunion with my long lost family. Then I shall take my rightful place as the heir apparent to News Corporation. I'm sure with the skills I acquired in the outback my father will realise my upbringing was not wasted and that I will be a great asset the corporation. Rupert Murdock was unavailable for comment.

Nice idea! Couple of comments:
- It's 'Murdoch'.
- One long paragraph is intimidating to read, it would work better if you broke it into two or three smaller ones.
- Some funny ideas, maybe expand on how he was living in the wild? Maybe some parallels with the actual Murdochs?
- The end is a bit weak. Needs to end with a killer blow! Perhaps something showing that he is a proper bastard, which means his claims are genuine?Posted 1 year ago # -
I think his amnesia skills and ability to sacrifice his family members if needs be would be proof of his claim, and perfect for News International.
