I know we're all election-ed out but Nigel Farage stands out for me.
To have a plane crash; on election day; caused by a banner promoting your OWN party.
It's almost a shame he wasn't killed as that would have made the Darwin Awards without doubt.

I'll second Clegg. Is he so desperate for even a modicum of power that he'd be prepared to sacrifice the Lib-Dems basic tenets for a crumb from the table?

If Clegg and Cameron tie the knot it will be with some grand pronouncement about "Only doing it for the good of the nation", or some such iffy spin.

It's pish that's what it is. Just had a rant about this elsewhere. 60+% of the country DIDN'T vote Tory, that's more than two thirds. So why are we about to have a Tory based coalition government?
If this is democracy, I'm moving to Cuba.

As I live about as far as I can from Edinburgh and stay on the same island "Oor Wullie and The Broons" Christmas annuals are about my only links with Scotland now. That and my Rezillos cd.

I'd nominate whichever media expert thought a Labour minister with a 6684 majority wasn't vulnerable to a charismatic ex-soldier and decided it wasn't worth sending the TV cameras to cover the count.
After 2 re-counts - the tory ex-soldier wins by 54 votes

Harsh indeed! As I have written elsewhere, I survived the evening with Miss Rusby and my main complaint was not with the music but with the "engaging Yorkshire wit."
And Scroat, I am happy to reiterate my support for Sea Room, which is an altogether excellent book.
But I have to agree that Nigel Farage is twat of the week. No competition.
