Mr George Cross a government spokesman said "We will introduce a standard first and second class levy of £1 and 75p respectively on all electronic mail, we will also be deleting every twentieth email during transmission to mimic the traditional postal service in the operation". The tax which will be called "Virtual Delivery Surcharge" or V.D.'s for short,is expected to start in August in a bid to ease the governments cash spending shortfall, Mr Cross said "we hope the whole country can benefit a good dose of V.D.s and be back on its feet in no time"
