Is your kid an annoying little twerp who won't shut up? According to science (well, what some mad Americans think is science) that means they are a super-evolved being. Check out the list of reasons why this is so.

Despite our best endeavours, we can never get so barking mad as what passes for reality. Like Indigo children, like anything from the Daily Mail.
I despair. I really do.
I just take solace from the fact that I've planted tomato and leek seeds, red onion sets and shallots this afternoon.

Nice one Scroat, have given up gardening this year due to new puppy - good at digging, but not in the right places. Likes roots to gnaw on.

There is a down side of course. Yesterday I picked up some manure. So well rotted it was like cutting peat. Lovely stuff. Anyway after digging it, bagging it, lugging it into the car, and unloading it with a wheelbarrow, I ache a bit today. Tomorrow I may not be able to move. I'm 60 now and feeling sorry for myself!

Twerp - a really great word when you think about it. If Alan Bennett ever got really, really angry, he'd call someone a twerp.
Mmmm. Alan and Dudley and Dudley and Alan...
I watched the whole six episods of The Trip Last night. I'll let episods stand.
Gentlemen to bed! For tomorrow we rise at 7.30 for 8.00!

Shallots - rather fiddly in my book given that I do the planting and the cooking. I'd need convincing that they make more sense than onions.

Have just read the Indigo Child link, all they have done is described any bloody teenager, ASBO or otherwise

Sooty - ever so easy to grow, and when it comes to peeling them, just soak for a bit in hot water first. I'm growing the long thin kind this year.

Scroaty,
Just got my first ever "maison vert". What fun I'm having! Runner beans, salad leaves and tomatoes, hundreds of beetroot, leek, and parsnip seedlings to prick out and pot up.
Potatoes chitting nicely and going into the ground tomorrow -
Never knew gardening could be such fun.Posted 1 year ago #
